Whirling Dervishes Ceremony (Sema)
The mesmerizing dance of the Whirling Dervishes is the inspiration of the 13th century Sufi poet and mystic, Mevlava Celaleddin-i Rumi (1207 - 1273).

The Sema is a highly iconic and symbolic ritual in Turkish history and culture. It represents the mystical journey of man's spiritual ascent through love, transcending his worldly attachments to find truth and union with God.

Pottery and Ceramic Making Demonstration

Avanos, about 4 km from our hotel, is famous for its pottery and ceramic art. It is set on the banks of the Kizilirmak (Red) River which supplies the famed clay for the pottery.

Pottery and ceramics have been produced in this area for centuries and some of the techniques still used date back to Hittite times to 2000 BC.

You may wish to pick up some special souvenirs that are available from simple mugs to ornate bowls, plates and Iznik tiles.

Treking Tours
Within walking distance from our hotel lie the Rose Valley, Kizicukur Valley, Mesken Valley and Zindanonu Valley. These valleys rank among the most beautiful hiking trails in the world.
